About

Tobias and his wife, Becky have lived in Southwest Florida for several years. Although they are not shell “experts”, they are avid beach-goers, travelers and shell collectors who love to explore and share their beach experiences. You can often find them at the various beaches, events and  festivals throughout the state of Florida or combing through the sand seeking the next prized find.

  1. Love your blog! We are kindred spirits. My husband and I visit Marco Island yearly and did our last shelling this morning prior to leaving agreeing that we could do it all day, every day if we had the right shoes and enough sunscreen! We’re driving home (Ohio) right now and I’m reading out loud your blog to him. Thanks for the beautiful pics and shell info (didn’t know what some of what we have are called). Keep searching for the beautiful Junonia!

    • Tracie, thank you so very much for the kind words. Comments like this make what we do worth doing. So glad we could bring a little bit of sunshine to you and your husband. 🙂 Thank you for reading and good luck shelling to you!

  2. Just stumbled upon your blog, and I love it! My husband and I live in Orlando, but having been going to Sanibel bi-annually for years. This blog is a nice little slice of the SW FL lifestyle that we love so much!

  3. looking for help for a trip for two (my sister and I) to Sanibel next spring. We are saving our money and dont have a clue where to stay where to shell and basically any help we can get on a budget…this will be our trip of a lifetime before we get older. Please help us…we are so excited and so needing this trip,,,we are avid shellers but not much here in North Carolina. God bless anyone that can help us with trip planning and information. 910 791 4731 or 910 859 1924
