So as always, we made our way out to Blind Pass on Thursday night, which has become customary for us to break up the work week. After work, we hop in the car and make our way out, shell a bit, enjoy the sunset and head home. Helps start the weekend right, since the next day is Friday.
Normally, we’ve been finding that around 6-6:30pm, the shells seem to just roll in. The Shell Queen and I have a formula – I use the rake/basket, grab a bundle of shells, and bring them up the shore line. SQ sits with her buckets (one with water for rinsing, the other for gathering). I dump the shells, she scours them and the process continues until the bucket is full. As you can see above, this is what we found Thursday night.
